Landscape In Green

This abstract landscape was inspired by the work of modernist master Paul Klee. His whimsical geometric shapes and play with color inspired many artist in the expressive modernist movement of the twenties. He was an incredibly prolific painter creating more than 12,000 works in his lifetime. The Paul Klee Museum in Bern, Switzerland houses many of these works and is an architectural marvel in itself- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PK9-mvGxNeY . This work actually won a best of show and jurors choice in the student art exhibit at Texas A&M Commerce in 2011, it is part of the permanent collection of the university. I was kinda proud of that! Thanks for viewing my blog.
